Schlick is the electronic music producer-DJ moniker of Mumbai’s Bradley Tellis.

An outlet for his electronic indulgences and experiments, Tellis has been a part of Mumbai’s music scene for decades, often on stage with his band, The Colour Compound and other times, backstage managing festivals and events. Before he became known as Schlick, Tellis was already on stage with some of India’s top electronic minds including Sandunes and OX7GEN. In May 2023, Schlick teamed up with OX7GEN for the bright and buoyant two-track EP June Moon/Searching, released via Krunk Kulture, one of India’s leading independent labels. It did well to follow-up Schlick’s debut three-track EP from 2019, appropriately called Buoyant State of Mind.

Behind the DJ decks, roving electronic tunes go from downtempo and ambient to dancefloor-ready, giving Schlick’s sets a transformative power. He’s been able to have that on show as support for globe-trotting DJs and electronic artists like Dauwd and Hotel Garuda.

It might be pop and rock where Tellis has thrived in the past, but he’s clearly just as adept with MIDI keyboards and CDJs to move any party into euphoric yet thought-provoking spaces.
